How to use the result
Start with the top row. Fixing the single most frequent tell changes how the whole piece reads.
Do not hunt every hit. Two or three in a long document can be a voice, not a tell.
The rhythm rows (sentence length, paragraph length) matter more than any single word. They are also the slowest to fix by hand.
Re-check after your edit. Same text, lower score, and you know the edit worked.
What this is and is not. It is a style checker built on patterns readers notice. It is not an AI detector, and it cannot tell you who or what wrote a piece. Detectors disagree with each other on the same text, which is why we do not sell ours as a way to pass them. A low score here means the prose reads like a person wrote it, nothing more.
Fixing it
Manual passes work on the word rows. The rhythm rows are harder: sentence length and paragraph length stay flat because they were generated in one pass, and swapping individual words does not change that. Why does a low score still have hits?
Every one of these patterns appears in writing by people. A single "However" is not a problem. A document where six different tells repeat is.
Which is more reliable, this or an AI detector?
Neither predicts the other. Detectors score the same paragraph differently from each other. This tool reports what a reader would notice, which is the part you can actually act on.
